Tower of Love, Hysteria and Thrill
AED 6000
This is my piece I produced for a final project where I incorporated various artists that I have been inspired by such as Mondrian and Paul Kenton. After secondary research, I chose wood as my base because it depicted the modernization of art, indicating that the bases for painting has evolved from caves to paper and onto various other surfaces. This further allowed me to take risks as it’s a surface I haven’t previously worked on and I wanted to be able to take risks by using and experimenting with unique media and backgrounds. Furthermore, after carrying out primary research, I observed that Paris is a place where people dream to be and if given the option between a Monet produced painting and a randomly chosen painting of the Eiffel Tower, more than half of the respondents chose the tower. I wanted to present a painting I thought people could relate to and associate with.
