Incorporeal Faces
AED 3500
Butterflies, universally seen as a symbol of the fervent representation of life and incorporeal rebirth. They’re seen as a ray of hope and transformation. This is the newest painting of my ‘Faces’ series, and it only seemed best to pair it with these tranquil winged creatures. My deep-rooted message behind the imperfectly perfect faces is to break the barrier of the high beauty standards where a certain look is considered as an epitome of perfection. Whereas in reality, we are all perfectly imperfect, constantly changing and growing. That’s where the butterflies play a role in the message of this artwork. They signify the growth and spiritual reforms we go through as human beings living amongst the endless faces, the endless standards, and the endless barriers. The ombre of dark purple and mauve for the background acts as a bold representation of the independence everyone has to be their own unique person, different from any other, while purple acts as a messenger of grandeur, independence, and creativity. The bright yellow-orange of the butterflies simply binds together the whole painting as a serene sight giving a surge of happiness!
