Aks Medium: oil pastels, pastel pencils Base: pastel paper Size: 85 * 60 cms (with frame) Meet Sanaa… Eyes say it all… they are a true reflection of a person’s feelings, emotions and cognizance. The best way to highlight the innocence and conviction of eyes was to cover all the other facial features with a veil. The doodling on the veil and the mang tikka (piece of jewellery worn on the forehead) took almost 5 hours as it’s always a challenge to create a new piece which would be different from the rest. Since I wanted my model to have greenish blue eyes, I decided to go with the same colours for the veil to maintain the balance. So after a long but satisfactory session of painting, I present to you my model…. Sanaa.
