Vertical Farming- The Future

What are we leaving for the future generations apart from growing environmental issues? With the growing population comes a series of issues- lack of space for farming which will hinder the supply and demand chain. Thanks to research and technology, the concept of vertical and aeroponics farming are being adopted. It is a beautiful concept which will solve space problem and one can farm in their homes with the limited space available. I just made this technical concept into an aesthetically pleasing painting of a woman (like a neighbor next door) in a tomato farm. Not to deviate from the subject, I have shown the irrigation pipes and how it can be grown indoors (like a green house)- a perfect combination of these concepts in one painting. I wanted the viewer to ‘touch’ this future, so I used super heavy gel for the leaves and tomatoes. The vanishing point and the 3D effect on the background is sure to catch a second look. The colors used are very pleasant and will blend with almost any interior.
