The Mystic

Dance is one of the most beautiful forms of art known to us. India has been blessed with a rich heritage of traditional dance forms, some of them going way back in time. Kathakali, a dance form originating from southern India, is one among the many gems. It translates to "story play" genre, distinguished by the elaborately colorful make-up, costumes, and face-masks worn by male dancers. This artwork is an attempt to recreate one of the many visions, including primary character, elaborate background texture, and mini sculpture to accentuate the overall visual appeal.
