This is a painting I did inspired by an artist called Agnes Cecile. I did this as part of my Freedom of Speech project. She is meant to be a representation of the lack of Freedom of Speech in many parts of the world. I've used various media to subtly express the frustration that's built within her. In closer images, you notice the inclusion of birds; these birds are a symbol of hope, a symbol of freedom that all humans desire.
